Happy Friday! I'm going to be taking the next few weeks mostly off from posting because I've got a bunch of travel and work stuff coming up. So here's an extra long list for today, and I'll see you in August!

  1. Here's the thing about emojis: they are text characters, like letters and numbers, that are interpreted and drawn by the system displaying them. They look similar but not the same on different systems (like iPhone and Android). It's like ordering a "cheeseburger" at different restaurants - you say the same thing, but what you end up eating varies based on who's fulfilling the order.

There are a million "emoji" apps out there, but they only work with other people who have the same app, OR they just insert actual images into messages. We (at my employer, a custom app development company) constantly have to explain this to people who want to change or add to the emojis available for messaging apps.
